Educational Technology Specialist / Instructor / Consultant.  Responsible for teaching and providing consultation on leading edge technologies including LAN/WAN, Internet/Web, Operating Systems, Security and computing hardware to educators from around the state of Georgia.

·        Established and now teach Microsoft, Comptia, and Novell certification courses as well as numerous other courses dealing with technology planning, implementation and management.

·        Make educational technology presentations at conferences and write technology use papers including the widely distributed “EdTech Field Notes”.

·        Developed and now manage technology labs containing integrated Windows, Novell, Linux and Internet connectivity.

·        Developed and now teach classes in Web server implementation, Internet access, and WAN/LAN implementation

·        Helped grow my department from zero to the most respected Educational Technology Center in Georgia.

Division Chairman / Instructor / Consultant.  Managed two departments with ten instructors involved in teaching leading edge technology to degree and diploma students. Taught courses on designing, installing, and managing microcomputer networks and related technology.

Management: Promoted into management position that included responsibility for the successful development and operation of the Southern Region Executive Briefing Center. Responsible for several million dollars in sales.

Technical: Promoted to a district level telecommunications specialist, dealing with wide and local area network products.

January 1981 to June 1983: RICE SYSTEMS, INC., Atlanta, GA

Systems Analyst / Development.  Successfully developed a sophisticated, computer based financial planning system and supported sales of the product to large insurance agencies.

October 1978 to January 1981: NCR-COMTEN, Atlanta, GA

Senior Performance Analyst.  Designed and implemented hardware and software performance measurement and capacity planning strategies for mainframe computer systems.
